MEDVETS

Precision under pressure.

Motorsports

A race car is a rolling classroom in physics, fabrication, data and teamwork — and it holds the attention of young people no worksheet ever will.

Mission Overview

What this mission does

The MEDVETS Motorsports programme puts veterans and youth on the same crew. Everyone has a role, every role matters, and the deadline is non-negotiable — the green flag drops whether you are ready or not.

Participants learn engine and drivetrain fundamentals, MIG and TIG welding, chassis fabrication, data acquisition and race-day logistics. Those are the exact skills employers in the automotive and manufacturing trades are hiring for right now.

Race weekends double as community outreach: the paddock becomes a recruiting station for our other programmes, and young crew members brief the public on what they built.

Purpose & Objectives

  • Use motorsports to teach STEM, fabrication and diagnostics.
  • Recreate the crew dynamic veterans miss and youth have never had.
  • Open the door to automotive, welding and engineering careers.
  • Give the programme a public stage that draws the whole community.
