Medical Gardens & Agriculture
Growing medicine, feeding communities and healing lives from the soil up.
Mission Overview
Veteran Wellness is the foundation MEDVETS was built on. We believe the fastest route back to health is not another waiting room — it is a purpose worth getting up for and a squad that notices when you do not show.
Our teams pair veterans with hands-on community missions: building medical gardens, mentoring young people, running broadcast crews and standing up neighbourhood projects. Wellness becomes a by-product of service rather than a clinical appointment.
Alongside that work we coordinate peer support circles, connect members to benefits navigation and partner with licensed providers for the care that belongs in professional hands. MEDVETS does not replace clinical treatment — we surround it with community.
Purpose. Connection. Healing.
Who We Serve
If you recognise yourself or someone you know on this list, this mission is for you.
On the Ground
What actually happens when you turn up. All of it runs on volunteer and member time.
Veteran-led groups that meet weekly — no clipboards, no intake forms, just battle buddies.
Every member is matched to a community mission suited to their skills and capacity.
Hands-on help with claims, appeals and connecting to the right VA and community resources.
Structured garden work proven to lower stress and rebuild daily routine.
Support for the spouses, parents and children who serve alongside every veteran.
A call roster so no member of the unit goes a week without contact.
